Academy Awards Nominations 2015
Well, this is pretty refreshing
news!
I'm pleased to report that Eastwood’s American Sniper has received an Oscar
nomination for Best Picture.
Bradley Cooper has also received a
nomination for Best Actor while Jason Hall gets the nod in the Best Adapted
Screenplay category. Malpaso regulars Gary
Roach and Joel Cox have also been recognised for Best Editing – whilst other technical
categories include Best Sound Mixing and Best Sound Editing. So 6 nominations
for American Sniper in all – I really hope Cooper is seriously considered. I felt it was a well handled performance in
which he maintains just the right balance.
All will be revealed this Sunday February
22nd – the ceremony will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.
