Here’s a recently discovered photo that was new to us here at the Archive – which made it an ideal candidate for our regular Photo Opportunity. This rare photo was taken on the set of Don Siegel’s Escape from Alcatraz (1979). Clint shows here that everyone is equal on the set, and made sure every co-star had his own chair - including this furry friend who was sidekick to fellow prisoner ‘Litmus’ played by actor Frank Ronzio. Unfortunately, Litmus didn’t make it to the end of his sentence after suffering a provoked heart attack by the Warden. Eastwood’s Frank Morris took over the parental duties, and much like Morris we never really learn of the mouse’s fate.
