THE UK PREMIERE OF INVICTUS

On Sunday January 31, Morgan Freeman, Matt Damon and director Clint Eastwood, will be in London’s Leicester Square to attend the UK premiere of the inspiring true story INVICTUS.

INVICTUS, directed by four time Oscar winner Clint Eastwood, tells the inspiring true story of Nelson Mandela, then South Africa’s newly elected president uniting the post-apartheid nation as they prepare to host the 1995 World Cup. The Springboks national Rugby team become both champions and a galvanizing force of hope, as Mandela - an extraordinary performance by Morgan Freeman, together with Springboks captain Francois Pienaar- played by Matt Damon, unite South Africans through the universal language of sport.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Spyglass Entertainment, a Revelations Entertainment/Mace Neufeld production, a Malpaso production, INVICTUS, starring Oscar® winners Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby, The Dark Knight) and Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting, the Bourne franchise). The film is produced by Eastwood, Lori McCreary, Robert Lorenz and Mace Neufeld. The screenplay is by Anthony Peckham, based upon the book Playing the Enemy, by John Carlin. Freeman, Tim Moore, Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum are the executive producers.

INVICTUS will be released in the UK by Warner Bros. Pictures on February 5, 2010.
