Clint Eastwood's new girlfriend & Barbara Walters passing up the chance to be Mrs Eastwood!

Has Clint Eastwood got a new leading lady? According to reports, the Dirty Harry star is dating Christina Sandera, an employee at his Mission Ranch Hotel in Carmel, California. US Weekly reports that the couple have been together for a while, with an insider confirming, "She lives with him in his house he used to share with (ex-wife) Dina.

She moved in months ago. “The source added, "Clint's kids have all met Christina and like (her). The kids all say she is 'normal'." It's thought this is Clint's second relationship since splitting from Dina Eastwood last August. The 84-year-old's estranged wife filed for divorce in October 2013 after 17 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
The couple were married in 1996 and have one daughter together, Morgan, 16.

Here’s a short piece on Clint dating Christina Sandera. From UPI News Service, 13/06/2014
Clint Eastwood was spotted grocery shopping in Los Angeles with his alleged new girlfriend Christina Sandera on Sunday June 1. Sources tell Us Weekly Sandera lives with the 84-year-old actor in the house he once shared with estranged wife Dina. "Clint's kids have all met Christina and like [her]," the insider said, adding that the "kids all say she is 'normal.'" Sandera reportedly works at Eastwood's Mission Ranch Hotel in Carmel, Calif. Eastwood and his wife split in August of 2013 after 17 years of marriage. The couple cited irreconcilable differences as their reason to separate in divorce documents. After their breakup Eastwood and Dina reportedly went on to date ex-couple Erica Tomlinson-Fisher and Scott Fisher respectively. "Erica Tomlinson-Fischer now seems to be gone. She hasn't been around in a while," a source said of the actor's fling. "He is with Christina and happy."

Barbara Walters and Clint Eastwood-

Just recently, Barbara Walters described Clint as 'the one that got away' as she opened up on her attempts to seduce the famed director, 30 years after initially turning him down.
"This is a sad love story," she said, during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. "I did this interview with Clint Eastwood something like 30 years ago. "He was very flirtatious and I was very taken (with him). He asked me if I wanted to have dinner… and I said, 'No, I have to work'. You know, I don't mix business with pleasure," the five-time Emmy winner recalled. "I could have been Mrs Clint Eastwood!"
When Barbara had the chance to meet the man again, at the recent premiere of his new film Jersey Boys, she was determined not to make the same mistake again. "I thought maybe it's not too late," she said. "I'm not kidding! I really did. I put on the right outfit - The false eyelashes – the whole thing.
"He was… polite," she continued. "He was courteous. What's that expression? He was just not that into me!"

Clint and Barbara Walters go back a long way, As I recall, the first time I knew of their interviews was 1980. Most UK fans will remember their 1982 interview (transmitted in my region on a late Friday night by LWT), and yes, Clint certainly did get flirty with Walters, but not to be taken out of context - it was pretty obvious that Clint was simply having a joke with Walters - in order to get her to blush. It was all done in good humour. Clint was plugging his latest film at the time, Firefox - and his Firefox T.shirt could be seen under the Blue fleece he was wearing for the interview. Below are both of the Barbara Walters / Clint Eastwood interviews from 1980 and 1982, I must thank my friends Davy Triumph for posting these and JSE (James) for supplying the original footage. Thank you guys! Below are also some Eastwood / Barbara Walters pieces from my collection and from the web.

About Barbara Walters

Barbara Walters (born September 25, 1929) is an American broadcast journalist, author, and television personality. She has hosted morning television shows Today and The View, the television news magazine 20/20, co-anchored the ABC Evening News, and was a contributor to ABC News.

Walters first became known as a television personality when she was a writer and segment producer of "women's interest stories" on the morning NBC News program The Today Show, where she began work with host Hugh Downs in 1962, once even modelling a swimsuit when an expected model did not show up.

Because of her excellent interviewing ability and her popularity with the viewers, and when other women left the program, she was eventually allowed more air time. Even though her production duties made her a significant contributor to the show, she had no input in choosing a successor for Hugh Downs when he left the show in 1971. Frank McGee was hired. Although his salary was twice hers, at Frank McGee's death in 1974, because of a clause added to her contract by her agent (a family friend), she acquired the title "co-host", the first woman by that title for any network news or public affairs program. Jim Hartz became her co-host. Two years later, continuing as a pioneer for women, she became the first female co-anchor of any network evening news, working with Harry Reasoner on the ABC News flagship program ABC Evening News (List of ABC Evening News anchors).

From 1979 to 2004, Walters worked as co-host and producer for the ABC news magazine 20/20, again appearing with Hugh Downs. From 1976 to 2010, she contributed as an anchor, reporter, and correspondent for ABC News, along with producing and hosting her own special interview programs several times yearly. Beginning in 1997, she has created, and appears as co-host on, The View. Walters retired from ABC News and as co-host of The View on May 16, 2014.
In 1996, Walters was ranked #34 on the TV Guide "50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time"
