Eastwood: Pieces from the past No 8
Here’s a little something for our European readers to enjoy. Veronica magazine, May 30th, 1987. Issue Number 22 of this Dutch magazine was obviously tied in to celebrate with Clint’s 57th Birthday. The 4-page feature was also the magazine’s cover story and featured a shot of Clint from Firefox. This article was also tied in to an Eastwood TV season that featured a number of Clint’s movies - which are all listed.
Veronica covered film, TV, music and general popular culture. Today, as well as a Television network, Veronica is owned by the DPG Media Group, a Belgian media company also active in the Netherlands and Denmark. The exact ownership structure is not clear; it is believed that the group is mainly owned by the Belgian Van Thillo family. It is no longer the magazine it once was, and tends to be more web based today.
I thought it was still worth scanning these pages from the magazine, if only for reasons of nostalgia.
