Maggie Eastwood dies at the age of 94
It was on the 4th October 2026 that out favourite cowgirl Jane Smart of Wales contacted me to inform me of the sad passing of the lovely Maggie Johnson, she was 94 years old. Maggie was of course Clint’s first wife, and together were parents to Kyle and Alison.
Clint and Maggie were married in December 1953. Clint met Maggie after meeting her on a blind date in the previous May. Maggie began her career as a manufacturing secretary-turned-fitness instructor, and often modelled swimsuits. Maggie always remained a firm favourite among fans.
Her passing was confirmed by her family, with her children paying heartfelt tributes online as they remembered her life, kindness, and devotion to her family.
Taking to social media to share the news, the former couple’s daughter, Alison Eastwood, paid tribute to her mother alongside nostalgic photographs.
Announcing that Johnson passed away "just shy" of her 95th birthday, the 54-year-old actress and director reflected fondly on her legacy.
"She had a long, amazing life," Alison shared, adding that her mother was deeply loved and would be greatly missed by her close family circle.
Kyle added, ‘Our mother Maggie passed 12 days ago. Today would have been my mom’s 95th birthday. We were so fortunate to have her in our lives for so long. She gave my sister Alison and I a deep appreciation for art, music, nature, animals, and she was always looking for the beauty in everything and everyone. She was the sweetest soul and I will love and miss her forever’
